Tractor-Trailer, Van Collide on I-80; Both Lanes Now Open

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – A two-vehicle crash occurred early Friday morning on Interstate 80 westbound at mile marker 66.

According to a representative of Clarion County Office of Emergency Services, the call came in around 2:56 a.m. for an accident involving a tractor-trailer and van at the 66-mile marker westbound on I-80.

Clarion-based State Police; Shippenville-Elk Volunteer Fire Department; Clarion Fire & Hose Company #1; Corsica Volunteer Fire Department; Knox Volunteer Fire Department; Southern Clarion County Ambulance; Clarion Hospital Ambulance; Jefferson County EMS, and two STAT MedEvac’s were dispatched to the scene.

Two individuals were taken from the scene by STAT MedEvac.

One individual was later flown by STAT MedEvac from Clarion Hospital.

A portion of I-80 West was closed as a result of the collision.

Clarion-based State Police say both lanes are now open.
