Brett A. Smith

Brett A. Smith, 57, of Walburn Run Road Brockway, PA, died on Friday, March 23, 2018, at U.P.M.C. Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born on April 14, 1960, in Kane, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel and Lillian Smith Zimmer.

On April 16, 1983, he was married to Mary Banks and she survives.

Brett was both a retired and disabled U.S. Army Veteran. He was stationed at Fort Hood Texas and he served during the cold war.

He was Protestant by faith. He enjoyed working around his house, woodworking, gardening and was an avid, rowdy Steeler fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Annie.

In addition to his wife he is also survived by two daughters: Sheena (Ryan) Deemer of Brockway; Stacie Smith of Kersey, PA; one son: Elvis Smith of Williamsport, PA; two sisters: Shawna (Tom) Callahan of Emporium, PA; a sister Susan and her husband Scott also of Emporium; a brother John (Kim) Smith of Austin, PA; three grandchildren Annie Deemer, Mason Smith, Kaden Goodrow and a granddaughter Adriana Rose on the way.

There will be no public visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 29. at 11:00 a.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Full Military Honors will be accorded by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion Thursday morning at the funeral home.
