Brockport Man Injured in Car vs. Deer Crash

state_policeSNYDER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Route 219 in Snyder Township, Jefferson County.

Police say this crash occurred at 10:26 a.m. on August 14 as 73-year-old Raymond B Rowles, of Brockport, was traveling southbound on Route 219.

Police say a deer entered the roadway directly into the path of Rowles’ 2003 Pontiac Sunfire.

The deer jumped into the air and struck the vehicle on the windshield and driver’s side window, according to police.

Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts.

Rowles sustained minor injuries from the glass shattering.

Rowles’ passenger, 68-year-old Mary J Rowles was not injured.
