Brockport Man Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on Route 219

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.SNYDER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred yesterday on State Route 219, west of Caruso Road, in Snyder Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 11:55 a.m. on April 28, 45-year-old Jeffrey J. Wilcox, of Brockport, was traveling north on State Route 219 near Caruso Road, and for unknown reasons, his 2005 Buick Lacrosse veered into the southbound lane. It collided – nearly head-on – with a 2015 Autocar commercial vehicle driven by 49-year-old Kevin E. Pontious, of Brockway.

Police say Wilcox suffered suspected serious injuries.

His passenger – a 5-year-old girl, of Brockway – suffered suspected minor injuries; she was using a seat belt.

Pontious was not injured; he was using a seat belt.

Police say both vehicles sustained heavy front end damage.

Brockway Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service; Falls Creek Volunteer Fire Department; and DuSan Ambulance Service assisted at the crash scene.

Zimmerman Towing removed the Buick from the scene.

Bloom Towing removed the Autocar from the scene.

The investigation is on-going.
