Brockway Couple Involved in Venango County Accident

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Frankin-based State Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in Clinton Township, Venango County.

Police say this crash occurred at 4:20 p.m. on August 13 when 63-year-old Margaret A. Fremer, of Brockway, was crossing over Route 308 from the westbound off-ramp of Interstate 80, and negotiating a left turn onto the westbound on-ramp, when she drove into the path of 83-year-old Edward J. McGowan, of Karns City.

McGowan could not stop his 2006 Cadillac STS4 in time, and it impacted Fremer’s 1991 Ford in the driver’s side front tire.

Fremer’s vehicle sustained minor damage with only a flat tire.

McGowan sustained functional damage to the front passenger side fender.

Fremer and her passenger, 62-year-old George Fremer, also of Brockway, were not injured and wearing their seat belts.

McGowan was not injured. His passenger, 89-year-old Verna Craig, of Emlenton, was also wearing a seat belt, but sustained minor injuries to her upper right arm.
