Brockway Girls’ Hoops Season Ends with Playoff Loss at Smethport

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Eighth-seeded Smethport used a 17-4 first-quarter advantage to roll into the District 9 Class 1A quarterfinals with a 61-30 win over ninth-seeded and visiting Brockway Tuesday night.

Abbey Woodard was unstoppable for the Lady Hubbers (11-12) netting a game-high 29 points. Emily Treat added 10 and Marissa Jack chipped in nine for Smethport.

Kaitlyn Morelli led Brockway (9-14) with 14 points with Leah Lindemuth scoring 10.

Smethport will take on top-seeded North Clarion at 7 p.m. Friday at Kane High School.
