Brockway VFW Burgarized; Cash Stolen

Police sirenSNYDER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a burglary at the VFW Post 7252 on Route 219 in Snyder Township, Jefferson County.

Police say this incident occurred between 3:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. November 26 when unknown actor(s) cut the exterior wires of the Brockway VFW and then entered the establishment.

The actor(s) then proceeded to break open numerous vending machines including an ATM, ticket machines, cigarette machine, and a touch tunes machine.

The actor(s) removed all the money from these machines.

The actor(s) also stole money from envelopes and bank bags that were behind the bar area and then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

There has been a string of burglaries at Social Clubs in this area.

The public and social clubs can assist by being more attentive during the morning hours near the clubs.

Report any suspicious vehicles or persons near the clubs to the police.
