Brockway Woman Chokes, Hits, Scratches Man During Domestic Altercation

handcuffsWASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a domestic violence incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on September 29, in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence along Beechton Road in Washington Township.

Upon arrival, police discovered a known 31-year-old woman and a known 32-year-old man, both of Brockway, were engaged in a verbal argument which turned physical. Both actors shoved one another until the woman choked, hit, and scratched the man on and near his face, neck, and shoulders, according to police.

The woman was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment, while the man was cited for harassment, police say.

The names of the suspects were not released.
