Brockway’s Lindemuth 14th in District 9 in Scoring; Assalone, Olson in Top 30

CLARION, Pa. (D9Sports) – Brockway sophomore Leah Lindemuth finished the season as the 14th-leading scorer in District 9 girls’ basketball averaging 13.8 ppg.

Lindemuth was one of three Jefferson County/DuBois area athletes to finish in the Top 30 in scoring.

DuBois’ Central Catholic junior Riley Assalone was 23rd averaging 12.2 ppg, while Brookville senior Hali Olson was tied for 30th scoring 11.3 ppg.

The Top 30 was dominated by KSAC players with eight of the top 10 scorers hailing from the conference including four of the top five.

Redbank Valley senior Brooke Hinderliter finishes the 2016 season as the leading girls’ basketball scorer in District 9, averaging 22.0 ppg.

North Clarion’s Abbie Schmader finished third averaging 17.9 ppg, while Venango Catholic’s Ava Homan finished fourth scoring 17.5 ppg and Karns City’s Emily Hegedus, only a sophomore, fifth at 17.0 ppg.
