Brookville Baseball Tops Redbank Valley

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Wyatt Shaffer scattered five hits through six innings, as Brookville topped visiting Redbank Valley, 6-1.

Shaffer allowed just a first-inning unearned run while walking two and striking out seven. Dane Lyle threw a scoreless seventh for the Raiders.

A five-run Brookville fifth inning broke a 1-1 tie. Kyle Dunkle, Jordan Tosh and Ben Reitz each had RBI singles in the inning with Tosh’s and Reitz’s coming with two outs including a two-run single by Reitz to cap the inning. Reitz finished with three RBIs on the day, while Tosh and Dunkle each had two hits.

Devin Schimp had a pair of Redbank Valley’s five base knocks including a bunt single and a double.
