Brookville Borough Hosting Food Drive to Benefit Brookville Area Food Pantry

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Borough’s annual Christmas Collection will begin soon.

The Municipal Authority is hosting a food drive that will benefit the Brookville Area Food Pantry.

Beginning Monday, November 13, non-perishable food items will be accepted at the Borough Complex until Monday, December 11.

The food pantry serves an average of 180 families in the Brookville School District per week.

The Borough complex is located at 18 Western Avenue, Brookville, Pa.

Brookville Area Food Pantry Holiday Schedule

The Thanksgiving Give Out this year will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Same times as always – 10:00 a.m. to noon and 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. They expect to be very busy that day, so please be patient as they strive to efficiently handle the registration and distribution for that day.

Their Christmas Give Out schedule will not change this year as Christmas is on Monday, so it will not affect their regular Thursday schedule. The Christmas Give Out will be Thursday, December 21, 2017. Again, the same time schedule 10:00 a.m. to noon and 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Toys for Angels Give Out will also be held the same day, December 21. Individuals must be a registered patron and have completed an application to be eligible for their children to participate in the Toys for Angels program. This Christmas program is only available to children that live in the patron’s household.
