Brookville Chamber of Commerce Hosts Annual Banquet at Chateau d’Argy

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – The Brookville Chamber of Commerce balanced honored traditions with some new changes this year for their Annual Banquet.

The Chamber’s new Executive Director, Tonya Woodel, organized the event which was located at the Chateau d’Argy, an event center on Main Street, Brookville that recently opened. The banquet recognized winners of the Chamber’s annual awards and added a twist with the Poker Run where guests could win prizes.

John Achille from Achille, Ellermeyer, Wallisch & Sobol Attorneys At Law, won the trivia side game.

Nan Miller won the grand prize from the Poker Run.

The winner of the prestigious Walter Dick Memorial Award was Dr. Paul Harvey, a family medicine doctor in Brookville. Harvey works with multiple hospitals in the area, including Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital and Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. He has been in practice for more than 20 years.

Phoenix Rehabilitation won the Business of the Year Award, an award associated with larger businesses in the area. The business, which is located on Allegheny Boulevard, has locations across the east coast, but mostly in Pennsylvania. Phoenix Rehabilitation offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, massage therapy, athletic training and chiropractic services.

The Small Business of the Year Award went to the Brookville Flower Shop which has been serving the area since 1948.

Community Action, Inc. won the President’s Cup Award. Community Action is a charitable organization serving Clarion and Jefferson County. Their mission is to “be a community catalyst to provide and coordinate activities which promote family self-sufficiency and advance community prosperity.”

According to Woodel, the Annual Banquet is an important part of the Chamber’s efforts to engage with the public and support local businesses. “It was important to us to honor our businesses,” she said. “But it was equally important that everyone who attended felt welcome, comfortable, and important. I am excited that we were able to do both!”
