Brookville Community Band Seeking Members

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – For former musicians that miss playing their instrument, there is a new opportunity in the Brookville area.

The Brookville Community Band is inviting musicians to become members of a new concert group.

This band is a volunteer ensemble with no audition requirement and is open all ages and skill levels.

The Brookville Community Band rehearses most Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Heritage House, located at 4 Sylvania Street in Brookville.

The next scheduled practices are March 20, April 10, April 24, May 15, and May 22.

For those who think they can’t play any longer, or if a lack of an instrument is keeping an individual from joining, there is help. The group has suggestions on where to find instruments, and playing your instrument is like riding a bicycle (only easier).

Openings are currently available in all sections as the group works to build this band from the ground up.

For more information, or to coordinate attending your first rehearsal, call Gary Kahle at 814-715-0795, or Tonya Woodel at 843-319-9324, or visit their Facebook page at facebook.com/BrookvilleCommunityBand.
