Brookville Community Days: Come out for Family Fun Night

2fccefb14ed1df8fbd2ad302ecea0e3dBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – The Brookville Volunteer Fire Company’s 6th annual “Community Days” festival is underway and there are plenty of activities happening today to get out and enjoy.

Tonight is Family-Fun Night! The festivities include:

  • Johnny Angel and the Halos Band performing from 8:00 – 10:30 p.m.
  • Shavers Creek Environmental Center — Animal Adaptations
  • Track and Trail Rescue Dogs Demonstration
  • Mr. Hooley Books — Children’s Author
  • Game Commission Demonstration
  • Vendor/Crafter Sale from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.
  • PA Trappers Association Demonstration
  • Games and Activities by Create Brookville and Penn Highlands Brookville
  • Storyteller Joanna Demarest presenting traditional fairy tales from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Storage Shed Auction #1 at 7:08 P.M.
  • ATC Unit of Jaffa Shrine at 7:00 P.M.

Headliner, Diamond Rio, will be performing on Saturday, August 23. header4

All of the events will be held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds to accommodate the needs of the attractions.

Tickets and information are available on the Brookville VFC website, www.bvfc2.net .

Tickets for Diamond Rio are $15.00 in advance or $20.00 at the gate.

Brookville VFC began “Community Days” in 2009 to celebrate 100 years of service to Brookville. The fire company has continued the event over the past five years to give back to the community that supports them.
