Brookville Hires New Code Enforcement Officer

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Borough Council voted to hire a new code enforcement officer at Tuesday’s meeting.

David Heller was hired to work on a as-needed basis, not to exceed 28 hours per week at a rate of $15 per hour.

In other business, council unanimously approved a motion to move $75,000.00 from one account to a S & T Bank 10-Month “Quick Cash” CD.

Borough Manager Dana Shick presented the idea to council.

“There won’t be a penalty for removing the money, and the money that will go into the quick cash CD won’t have a penalty after seven days,” Shick said.

The interest rate from S & T is 0.85 percent while the other is just 0.48 percent.

In other business:

Shick also announced that the YMCA’s Adventure Run is set for Saturday, June 10.

The first meeting in July will be Wednesday, July 5, due to Independence Day being the first Tuesday.
