Brookville Man Accused of Theft from Abandoned House

Police car lightsJEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police investigated a theft that occurred at an abandoned house located on McFadden Road, approximately 3/10 mile east of Richardsville Road, in Jefferson County.

Police say the victim – an 85-year-old Ridgway man – reported there was a white stove/oven and an antique water pitcher pump stolen from the above described location.

After further investigation, it was found that 58-year-old James Alan Zimbicki, of Brookville, allegedly stole these items.

The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. on May 9, 2015.

Charges were filed in District Court 54-3-02 for Theft by Unlawful Taking and Criminal Trespass.

No other information was provided.
