Brookville Man Arrested for Allegedly Manufacturing ‘Shake and Bake’ Meth

Crime SceneBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A 35-year-old Brookville man has been arrested for allegedly manufacturing “Shake and Bake” Meth.

According to court records, on March 15, police arrested 35-year-old Timothy Joe Kramer, of Brookville, on drug-related charges.

Search Warrant Obtained for Kramer’s Residence & Vehicle

According to a criminal complaint, on March 15, 2015, PSP Punxsutawney and Brookville Borough Police prepared a search warrant for the residence of Timothy J. Kramer at 34 S. White Street Apt. A, in Brookville Borough and Kramer’s vehicle, a red 1997 Jeep Cherokee.

Police Discover Methamphetamine Items

The complaint states that at approximately 8:58 p.m., entry was made at the residence at 34 S. White Street.

The following methamphetamine items were allegedly located inside the residence.

  • a “one-pot” methamphetamine lab
  • “gas generators”
  • Coleman fuel container
  • empty Sudafed blister pack
  • cold compress packs
  • sulfuric acid
  • drain cleaner
  • salt containers
  • coffee filters with residue
  • measuring cups with residue
  • a bottle cap with a plastic tube inserted

Police allegedly found the following items in the Jeep:

  • household lye
  • cold compress
  • a cut open lithium battery

Items in Residence/Jeep Commonly Found in Meth Lab

According to the complaint, through the arresting officers’ training and experience, they know that all of the above listed items are commonly found in a methamphetamine lab. Additionally, all of the above listed items found in close proximity to each other are key elements in the “one-pot” or “shake and bake” manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Kramer Arrested – Faces Felony Drug Charges

Kramer has been charged with the following offenses:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Possession of Red Phosphorus, etc. w/ Intent to Manufacture Controlled Substances, Felony
– Operating a Methamphetamine Lab, Felony 2
– Deposits, Stores, Disposes Chemical Waste, Felony 3
– Knowingly Possession of Ephedrine, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

Kramer Lodged in Jefferson County Jail; Awaits Preliminary Hearing

Unable to post $75,000.00 monetary bail, Kramer has been lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on April 8, in front of Gregory M Bazylak.
