Brookville Man Awaits Preliminary Hearing Following DUI Arrest

gavelUNION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Brookville man is awaiting a preliminary hearing following a DUI arrest that occurred on State Route 322, near Alexander Lane, in Union Township, Jefferson County.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, 27-year-old Benjamin Jacob Spence, of Brookville, was arrested for alleged DUI following a traffic stop around 8:07 p.m. on November 13.

According to court documents, Spence faces the following charges:

  • DUI: Gen Imp/Inc of Driving Safely – 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
  • DUI: Highest Rte of Alc (BAC .16+) 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
  • Disregard Traffic Lane (Single), Summary
  • Exceed 55 MPH In Other Loc By 30 MPH
  • Careless Driving, Summary

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on February 4, 2016, in front of District Magistrate Gregory M. Bazylak.
