Brookville Man Faces Felony Charges After Being Busted With Marijuana, Hashish

PUNXSUTAWNEY BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A Brookville man is facing felony drug charges after being found in possession of over five ounces of marijuana and hashish.

Court documents indicate the Punxsutawney Borough Police Department filed the following criminal charges against 25-year-old Ty Jacob Kelly:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor
– Marijuana-Small Amount Personal Use, Misdemeanor
– Possession of Small Amount/Distribute, Not Sell, Misdemeanor
– Deliver/Intent To Deliver Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

According to a criminal complaint, around 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, Officer Andrekovich, of the Punxsutawney Borough Police Department, was called to a residence on South Main Street by Jefferson County Probation.

Upon his arrival, Officer Andrekovich was given two plastic bags containing a large quantity of marijuana allegedly found on Ty Jacob Kelly. Officer Andrekovich was then also shown a black bag containing another plastic bag with approximately 5.5 ounces of marijuana inside. The probation officers explained the black bag was found inside the residence along with a glass pipe contending dark brown tar that was found on the kitchen table, according to the complaint.

The probation officers then searched Kelly’s bedroom, where they located two sandwich bags containing a brown substance believed to be hashish, the complaint states.

The complaint notes Kelly stated he was “high on meth” and was not questioned further at the time. He was then taken into custody by Jefferson County Probation.

Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock’s office on Thursday, December 12.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, with Judge Mizerock presiding.
