Brookville Man Faces Slew of Charges After Allegedly Kicking, Attempting to Bite Police

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A Brookville man is being charged with a slew of charges stemming from an incident that occurred around 10:29 p.m. on August 5, on Grant Street, in Brookville, Jefferson County.

Brookville Borough Police responded to an incident at 25 Grant Street in Brookville wherein a 52-year-old male resident was allegedly intoxicated and damaging household property.

When police arrived, the man allegedly became more violent and agitated. Police attempted to calm him down, and when that was not accomplished, he was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Police say the suspect became more violent and allegedly tried to bite a Punxsutawney Borough Police officer and kicked a Brookville Borough Police officer.

Once he was secured in the patrol vehicle, he allegedly began and continued to make terroristic threats towards Brookville officers and Sheriff’s Department Special Deputy.

Police say he allegedly attempted to damage the patrol car by banging his head off the windows.

He was incarcerated in the Jefferson County Jail pending further court action.

He faces the following charges:

– three counts of Terroristic Threats
– two counts of Aggravated Assault on Police
– two counts of Simple Assault
– one count of Disorderly Conduct
– one count of Resisting Arrest
– one count of Criminal Mischief

Brookville Police were assisted by the Punxsutawney Borough Police, PSP Punxsutawney, and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
