Brookville Man Injured in Rollover Crash on Route 322

UNION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Brookville man was injured in a rollover crash that occurred early Saturday morning on Route 322.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, this crash happened around 1:16 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, on U.S. Route 322, in Union Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 31-year-old Andrew J. McKinney, of Brookville, was traveling east in a 2010 Toyota Tacoma when a deer entered the roadway.

McKinney swerved to miss the deer, and the pickup began to slide on the snow-covered roadway. The vehicle then traveled across the double yellow line into the westbound lane and struck an embankment, causing it to overturn. The vehicle came to a rest in the woods on its passenger side.

McKinney suffered minor injuries and was transported to Penn Highlands Brookville. He was not using a seat belt.

McKinney’s passenger—43-year-old Craig A. Griffin, of Brookville—was not injured. He was using a seat belt.
