Brookville Man Injured in Route 322 Crash

PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A 20-year-old Brookville man was injured after a Wednesday morning crash on Route 322 in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 7:35 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 20-year-old Isaac A. Rape, of Brookville, was operating a 2007 Volkswagon Rabbit east on State Route 322, just west of Bee Lane in Pine Creek Township. He lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left curve in the roadway and exited the south part of the road. He struck a traffic sign and then a utility pole. Upon impact with the pole, the vehicle spun counter-clockwise until coming to a final rest facing west off the roadway.

Rape was transported to Penn Highlands Brookville by Jefferson County EMS for moderate injuries.

He was using a seat belt

Rape was charged with a traffic violation.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Macpherson’s Towing.

Pine Creek Fire Department assisted at the scene.
