Brookville Man Named Northwest Bank VP

image003CLARION, Pa. – Craig W. Coon has been named vice president, commercial loan officer of Northwest Bank. John Malizia, senior vice president, regional commercial lender, made the announcement.

Working in the Jefferson County and greater DuBois area, Mr. Coon is responsible for engaging with customers to bring value to their business through a very close consultative approach, understanding their immediate and future financial needs and how they wish to grow their business.  He will identify preemptive capital needs to help customers reach their goals and positively impact the lives of their employees, customers and stakeholders.

Mr. Coon comes to Northwest with an extensive background in finance and economic and community development.Prior to joining Northwest, Mr. Coon has worked in the banking industry over the past eighteen years serving as a vice president and business banker, assistant office manager and credit analyst.

A graduate of Clarion University (formerly Clarion State College), Mr. Coon holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He’s also held a number of professional certifications, including membership in the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association and being certified as an economic development finance professional by the National Development Council.

Active in his community, Mr. Coon currently serves with the Brookville Community Club, Brookville Lions Club and he is active in his church participating in the choir and being a past Trustee and Elder. Mr. Coon has also served over the years as a board member of the Brookville Hospital, Brookville Chamber of Commerce, Pinecrest Country Club, WRC Senior Services and as a member of the Punxsutawney Rotary.

Mr. Coon lives in Brookville with his wife, Stasia. They have a daughter, Kayla.
