Brookville Native Searching for Liver Donor Match

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A living liver donation open house will be held Sunday for a Brookville native battling cirrhosis.

The event will be held at the G.B. Carrier House Inn, 365 Main Street, Brookville, Pa., on Sunday, July 21, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

June Rhines-Richards, a Brookville native, is in end stage liver failure from non-alcoholic cirrhosis.  This event is being held to promote and provide information about Living Donation and seek out additional potential living donors, not only for June, but for others in need.

Living donation offers another choice for transplant candidates, and it saves two lives: the recipient and the next one on the deceased organ waiting list.

Questions can be direct to Jen Rhines at junesjourney19@gmail.com.
