Brookville Police After Recent Burglary: Lock Your Doors and Windows

brookville-policeBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Following what Brookville Police are reporting as “the first burglary in a while” this past weekend, police are advising everyone to make certain to lock their windows and doors when they’re not home.

A statement issued June 22 by police asks all area residents to “Please make sure your doors and windows are locked when you leave home or go to sleep. We don’t need to give people like that any help!”

Residents are asked to call 911 if they see someone or something suspicious.

“If you feel uncomfortable calling 911, dial 814-849-1617. Both numbers will connect you to the competent dispatchers at Jefferson County Control,” the police statement said.

Specific details on the burglary have not yet been released.
