Brookville Police Calls: Drug Paraphernalia, Drug Possession Arrests

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – The Brookville Borough Police Department reported the following calls:

Drug Paraphernalia Arrest on Main Street

The Brookville Police assisted state parole and probation agents at a residence along Main Street on November 27, 2019.

During the visit, numerous hypodermic needles, drug measuring devices, and other drug paraphernalia was found and seized. The occupant – a 58-year-old Brookville man – was taken into custody and charged with the violation.

Charges were filed through Magistrate Bazylak’s office.

The name of the man was not released.

Drug Possession on Main Street

Around 2:30 a.m. November 28, Officer Miller, of the Brookville Police Department, conducted a traffic stop on on a black Ford Taurus for a faulty license plate light.

While speaking with the driver, Officer Miller detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

The passenger and the owner of the vehicle advised the officer that there was a marijuana pipe in the car.

After conducting a search of the passenger compartment, Officer Miller found a sandwich-sized bag full of marijuana in the vehicle.

There were two grinders and two pipes that were also found in the vehicle.

Police say 22-year-old Joseph Sroka, of Michigan, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
