Brookville Police Calls: Heroin, Fentanyl Possession; Dog Confinement

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – The Brookville Borough Police Department responded to the following calls:

Drug Arrest

On July 24, Brookville Borough Police were called to a disturbance at a local business.

Police say while they were at the scene, they found a known 23-year-old man from New York to be in possession of heroin and fentanyl.

The man was subsequently taken into custody and placed in the Jefferson County Jail.

Dog Confinement

Around 8:29 p.m. on July 23, Brookville Borough Police responded to a report of a dog not on a leash in the area of B Street and Hastings Street.

Police say the dog was found a block away at a known residence.

According to police, the owners of the dog were then issued a citation for failure to keep the dog on a leash due to multiple complaints from the neighborhood.
