Brookville Police Locate Missing Elderly Woman

brookville-policeBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Borough Police located a missing elderly woman following a multi-agency search Friday.

Around 4:52 a.m., Brookville Police were dispatched by Jefferson County 911 to 320 Hiawatha St. for a report of a missing elderly woman.

Police say the 77-year-old Alzheimer’s patient wandered off from her home around 4:30 a.m.

After searching the area surrounding the residence for nearly two hours, the patient was successfully located by one of Track and Trail Search and Rescue’s Search dogs.

Jefferson County EMS transported the woman to Penn Highlands-Brookville for evaluation.

“Kudos go out to (Brookville Police) Officer Miller, Brookville Volunteer Fire Company, Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Company, Jefferson County EMS, and Track & Trail Search & Rescue,” said Brookville Borough Police Chief Jason Brown.
