BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A 65-year-old man is the latest to face charges in an undercover sex trafficking sting in Brookville Borough.

According to court documents, 65-year-old Robert K. Fisher, of Indiana, Pa., was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, on the following charges:

  • Trafficking in Minors, Felony 1
  • Criminal Attempt – Trafficking in Minors, Felony 1
  • Criminal Conspiracy Engaging – Trafficking in Minors, Felony 1
  • Criminal Solicitation – Trafficking in Minors, Felony 1
  • Unlawful Contact With Minor – Sexual Offenses, Felony 1
  • Corruption Of Minors – Defendant Age 18 or Above, Felony 3
  • Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3

The charges stem from an investigation into human trafficking in and about Brookville Borough, Jefferson County.

According to a criminal complaint, on Saturday, January 19, Officer Turnbull, of the Brookville Borough Police Department, placed an ad on a known website using a fake email address and photos of known images altered from open source media. The ad was posted under female escorts and expressed that it had underage females for escorts and listed numerous sexual positions as options for the girls to perform.

According to the complaint, on Tuesday, January 22, an individual, later identified as Robert K. Fisher, reached out to the undercover profile. Fisher had previously requested to see only 18-year-old and older females and was told to make contact again later. The investigation was focused on the trafficking of underage individuals, and it was believed, at that time, that Fisher was not a person of interest in this investigation.

The complaint states that Fisher expressed that he wanted a girl for during the day at his location and was informed that the only individuals available were 15 and 17 years old. He was also sent photos.

According to the complaint, Fisher said he “liked the blonde girl” and would like one hour. He was then informed of prices and meeting locations and specifically requested the price for “everything minus anal sex.”

Fisher contacted confirming a meeting for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24. He then made contact again at 1:25 p.m. stating that he was at a known location in Brookville. He was then told the girl would be dropped off at the location.

The complaint notes that Fisher gave a description of his vehicle, which Officer Turnbull then observed from an undercover position while waiting for marked police vehicles to take Fisher into custody.

Fisher was then taken into custody and found to be in possession of two condoms and $100.00 in U.S. currency, the complaint states.

The officers also called Fisher’s cell phone, which rang, and it was taken from within the vehicle.

According to the complaint, Fisher was interviewed after being read his rights, and he allegedly admitted to coming to the location to meet a 15-year-old girl. He also reported he “did not believe the female to actually be 15 because people lie about their age.” He allegedly acknowledged this was not the first time he has met with escorts.

Charges were filed in Judge Mizerock’s office on Thursday, January 24.

Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, with Magisterial District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak presiding.
