Brookville Residents Could See Higher Parking Fines

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Residents of Brookville may see higher fines for parking violations down the road.

According to Borough Manager Dana Shick, the parking ordinance is being re-written, but there are no current ordinances for increasing the parking until the ordinance is re-written, fines can’t be raised.

Also, Brookville Volunteer Fire Chief Jim Lipuma raised the possibility of a fire lane ordinance at the school by the Borough.

But after much discussion at the recent council meeting, it was dismissed.

Wednesday, Lipuma had no comment when asked about it.

There are state ordinances regarding fire lanes and local police can enforce it.
