PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney Borough Police filed child porn charges against a Brookville teen Monday.
According to police, 18-year-old Tyler Lee Courson, of Brookville, allegedly engaged in sexually explicit communications with a 15-year-old girl between October 2015 and January 2016.
Police say the communications involved nude photographs allegedly sent via text message.
The communications culminated with Courson allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with the juvenile at a residence in Punxsutawney Borough.
Courson was taken into custody by Punxsutawney Borough Police on Monday.
Charges of third-degree felony Child Pornography and first-degree misdemeanor Corruption of Minors were filed at District Magistrate Douglas Chambers’ office.
Courson was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.
A preliminary hearing is slated for February 11 at Judge Chambers’ office.
