BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — A Brookville teen serving time on child sex charges recently pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas.

Online court documents indicate that on February 15, 19-year-old Tyler Lee Courson, of Brookville, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault, a second-degree felony.

As part of the plea agreement, the following charges were dismissed:

– Simple Assault, a second-degree misdemeanor

A sentencing date has not been set.

Courson remains lodged in the State Correctional Institution at Somerset on a previous offense.

He is serving time for corruption of minors and possession of child pornography.

According to police, Courson “engaged in sexually explicit communications with a 15-year-old girl between October 2015 and January 2016.”

Police say the communications involved nude photographs allegedly sent via text message.

The communications culminated with Courson allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with the juvenile at a residence in Punxsutawney Borough, according to police.
