Brookville Volunteer Fire Company Open House Set for October 15

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – The Brookville Volunteer Fire Company will host an open house on Saturday, October 15.

It will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the fire hall located at 240 Madison Avenue in Brookville.

The volunteers of BVFC have been hard at work this summer and they want the community to come see what they have been able to accomplish through the support of the community and its members.

Organizers noted that the open house is a great opportunity for families to learn about BVFC, see the trucks and fire equipment, tour the apparatus bays, and, of course, grab a hot dog.

There will also be information available for those over the age of 14 who would like to consider joining the department as a firefighter or an active non-firefighter.

So far this year, BVFC has responded to almost 200 emergencies, graduated four students from the fire school, updated gear for the firefighters, and made several property improvements.

Many of the improvements will help the volunteers better serve the community by keeping their equipment ready to safely respond at a moment’s notice to the needs of the community.
