BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) –According to the Brookville Borough Police Department, a DUI arrest was made around 12:15 a.m. on April 29, on West Main St./Route 322, in Brookville Boro, Jefferson County.
Brookville Borough Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation.
While speaking to the 43-year-old female driver, the officer believed she was operating the vehicle under the influence of drugs.
A Drug Recognition Expert evaluated the driver. It was determined that she was under the influence to a degree that rendered her incapable of safely driving her vehicle.
The driver was taken to Brookville Hospital for a blood test. Her blood was tested by NMS Labs and found to contain numerous drugs at the time she operated the vehicle.
The driver was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and other summary traffic violations.
The name of the defendant was not released.
