Brookville Woman Faces Assault Charges After Allegedly Slamming Victim’s Face into Car

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A Brookville woman has been accused of assault and related charges after an alleged incident that occurred at 282 Western Avenue, in Brookville, Jefferson County.

According to court documents, Brookville Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 30-year-old Cheryl L. Dillon, of Brookville.

According to a criminal complaint, around 6:54 p.m. on April 17, Officer Shawn Hollobaugh, of the Brookville Borough Police Department, was dispatched to 282 Western Avenue on a report of a 911 hang up call. Prior to that call, he was dispatched to a neighboring residence reporting they could hear swearing and yelling in the area.

When Officer Hollobaugh arrived on the scene, he approached Cheryl L. Dillon. Dillon stated she was “in an argument with (her sister) and that it was now over.” When Officer Hollobaugh questioned Dillon about the altercation, she said “I grabbed (the victim) by the face and slammed her against the car….(the victim) would not shut her (expletive) mouth, so yea, I slammed her by the face into the car,” the complaint states.

The victim was questioned, and she stated that they “were arguing about an outdoor fireplace and its location,” and the argument escalated.

The victim attempted to leave, and Dillon “grabbed her by the hair and pulled her out of the passenger’s side of the vehicle…and slammed her against the car.” That happened shortly before Officer Hollobaugh pulled up on the scene, the complaint continues.

The victim had visible bruising and red marks on the left side of her face, according to Officer Hollobaugh.

Based on the information obtained during his investigation, Officer Hollobaugh requested an arrest warrant be issued for Dillon.

She was arraigned at 11:05 a.m. on April 18 in front of District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak on the following charges:

Unable to post $15,000.00 monetary (10%) bail, she was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.
