Brookville Woman Injured in Crash

ROSE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police have released details surrounding a November 10 crash that sent a Brookville woman to the hospital.

Police said the accident happened around 5:37 p.m. on U.S. Route 322 near Brookville Lanes.

According to police, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra operated by Renee Polippo, 43, of Brookville, struck the rear of a 2009 Toyota Corolla operated by Wenday Attinger, 44, of Knox Dale.

Polippo was transported by Jefferson County EMS to Penn Highlands Brookville for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Attinger and an 11-year-old male passenger escaped injury.

All occupants were wearing safety belts.

Polippo was cited for following too closely, according to police.

Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
