Brookville Woman Involved in I-80 Crash

PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a vehicle slammed into a guide rail along Interstate 80 eastbound in Pine Creek Township last week.

According to police, around 1:10 p.m. a one-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 80 eastbound near the 83 mile-marker.

Police say 20-year-old Mallory E. Reitz, of Brookville, was operating a 2009 Honda CRV, traveling east in the left lane and attempting to pass a tractor-trailer when her vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a guide rail. It then continued another 400 feet before coming to a final rest on the left shoulder of the roadway.

Reitz was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

Jefferson County EMS also assisted at the scene.
