Brookville Woman to Face Hearing on Alleged Theft of $130,000 in Jewelry, Cash


BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A Brookville woman is scheduled to appear in court on accusations that she stole more than $130,000.00 in cash, jewelry, and other items from three Brookville residents.

According to court documents, 38-year-old Jessica Deen Robinson, of Brookville, was charged on August 10 with the following felony offenses:

– Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Felony 3
– Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 3

She was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail on $50,000.00 bail; however, a professional bondsman posted her bail on August 25.

Her preliminary hearing that was scheduled for August 17 has been continued to Tuesday, September 5, at 11:15 a.m., in District Judge Greg Bazylak’s office.

The arrest was made following an investigation by State Police, Brookville Borough Chief of Police Jason Brown, and Borough Police Officers.

According to police, Robinson allegedly entered 264 Jefferson Street in Brookville and stole jewelry, cash, and other items exceeding $130,000.00 in value.

The victims of the thefts were a known 50-year-old man; a known, 50-year-old woman; and a known, 45-year-old woman – all of Brookville.

Police say the thefts occurred between May 3, 2017, and June 3, 2017.

Robinson has a lengthy arrest record with guilty pleas for harassment, disorderly conduct, bad checks, and various traffic offenses.
