Brookville’s 15th Annual Christmas Celebration Begins Next Weekend

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – The 15th Annual Christmas Celebration will take place in Historic Downtown Brookville on Friday, November 25.

The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with free train rides through town for all ages, free face painting by Liz Huwar, free cookie decorating by Nancy Strawcutter, and strolling carolers through 7:00 p.m.

The Bowdish Train exhibit at the History Center will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with admission by donation.

At 7:00 p.m. the Lighting of the Community Tree and Wreaths will take place as the Grand Holiday Parade steps off. The parade will include a live nativity, floats, bands, marching units, fire trucks, and more, including the arrival of Santa himself on the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company truck.

Throughout the evening, there will be food vendors selling seasonal fare and port-a-potties will be available at the corner of Barnett and Main Street.

The following day, Saturday, November 26, Brookville will celebrate Small Business Saturday, with the Moonlite Drive-In offering free admission for a showing of The Grinch (weather permitting). The theatre opens at 4:30 p.m. and the movie begins at 5:30 p.m.

The following weekend, the Annual Children’s Shopping Mart, sponsored by the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, will take place at the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company Social Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3.
