Bauer was named the conference’s Defensive MVP, Frank was chosen as the Lineman of the Year and Dworek the Offensive MVP.

Leading the Bobcats in tackles with 10.1 per game, Bauer has been the driving force behind a defense that has allowed 9.7 points per game while helping Clarion go 10-0 and earn a berth in Friday’s District 9 Class 2A title game against Kane. The senior linebacker has 37 tackles for a loss, including eight sacks, while adding two interceptions and two fumbles caused.

Frank earns the award for his job as a defensive end for the Raiders, who finished the season 9-2 after a loss to Clarion in the D9 2A semifinals. He had 96 tackles (8.7 per game) and had 15 sacks. Playing mainly defense for Brookville, Frank did make six catches for 99 yards and a touchdown on offense.

Dworek had a record-breaking season for Brookville and finished the year with school records in catches (85), receiving yards (1,406) and receiving touchdowns (21). His 1,406 yards receiving rank fourth in a single-season in District 9 history behind Kyle Hopson of DuBois (1,665 in 2016) and Nick Conway (1,482 in 2012) and Trey Miller (1,425 in 2012) of Port Allegany. The 21 touchdowns are also second in a season in District 9 history behind Conway’s 24 in 2012. Brad Beggs of Clarion-Limestone had 19 in 2003, Hopson had 18 in 2016 and Miller had 18 in 2012.
