Burglar Takes Victim's Car for Joyride During Burglary

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say an unknown perpetrator(s) took a woman’s car for a spin during a burglary on Spruce Street, in Punxsutawney, McCalmont Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, sometime between 12:01 a.m. on May 30 and 11:59 p.m. on May 31, the perpetrator(s) entered into the residence of a 49-year-old Punxsutawney woman and removed money, cigarettes, and alcohol.

The perpetrator(s) also removed the victim’s keys to her 2003 Chevrolet Blazer and took the vehicle for a joyride.

The estimated cost of stolen property is $34.00.

The estimated cost of damaged property is $112.00.

The investigation continues.
