Bus Driver Escapes Injury, School Bus Crashes into Utility Pole

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – No injuries were reported following a school bus crash on Sixth Street and Taylor Street in Brookville, Jefferson County.

Brookville Borough Police, say around 10:55 a.m. on January 9, the operator of the school bus lost control on the icy roads and struck a telephone pole.

The bus driver was not injured.

There were no passengers on the bus.

The school bus sustained moderate damage to the front and the driver’s side.

The vehicle also sustained damage to the wheels which required it to be towed from the scene.

The pole sustained minor scrapes to the bottom and middle of the pole.

No charges are being filed.
