STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Clarion-Limestone used a pair of five-run innings to spearhead a 12-0, five-inning win over visiting Forest Area in the season opener for both teams Tuesday.
The Lady Lions scored five in the first and then added five more in the third.
Megan Schimp scored three runs for C-L, while Olivia Shilling scored twice. Sadie Mahle had a pair of RBIs and was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, while Alyssa Kiser had a two-run single in the third, and Abby Carl added an RBI double.
Kiser got the win giving up just two hits while striking out five.
The Lady Fires got hits from Cassie Cochran and Ally Carll. Jasmine Ginnery took the loss.
