C-L Student Recognized; Board Hires Business Tech Teacher

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A Clarion-Limestone senior was recently recognized by a national organization.

Clarion Limestone Senior Alyssa KiserClarion-Limestone senior Alyssa Kiser has been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation as a “Commended Student.”

Commended Students are recognized for their exceptional academic promise, demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry.

C-L School Board Actions

The Clarion-Limestone School Board took several actions during their September 16 meeting, including:

  • A two percent wage rate increase for cafeteria workers for the 2015-16 school year.
  • The hire of Kristin Schneider as full-time secondary business-computer-information-technology teacher at a masters step 2 salary.
  • An agreement with Clarion Area School District for full-time placement at Clarion Area Elementary for a C-L student in an English Language Learners program at a cost of $54.32 per day.
