Car Hits Utility Pole in Burnside Township, One Man Injured

BURNSIDE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – One man was transported to Punxsutawney Area Hospital after a car hit a utility pole in Burnside Township Friday evening.

Police say around 8:59 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 28-year-old Aaron L. Brendlinger, of Armagh, was operating a 2004 Dodge Neon, traveling eastbound on State Route 286.

According to police, Brendlinger was driving too fast for conditions and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck a utility pole head-on.

s a result of the crash, Brendlinger suffered minor injuries to his head and body. He was transported to the Punxsutawney Area Hospital by Citizen’s EMS.

Brendlinger was not wearing his seatbelt.

He was cited for a traffic violation.

Mahaffey Fire Department assisted at the scene.
