Carlo Zenone

Carlo Zenone, Age 86 of DuBois, PA died Friday, December 31, 2021 at Christ the King Manor.

Born on June 20, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Eugenio & Maryann Lipari Zenone.

Carlo was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War.

On October 8, 1960 he married his wife of 61 years, Laurena C. (Luther) Zenone.

Carlo worked as a police office for both the City of Philadelphia and the City of DuBois Police Departments for 14 years.

He then went to work in the security department at the DuBois Regional Medical Center until his retirement in 2000.

Carlo was well known in the community for a quick joke and his big smile.

He was loved by all who knew him.

Carlo as an avid mall walker, mini bus rider and loved buying scratch off lottery tickets.

He loved all things Frank Sinatra, enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies in his younger years, and the Pittsburgh Pirates in his later years.

He is survived by his two daughters (Lisa DeMotte & her husband Don of DuBois, PA, and Donna Zenone & her husband Link Hillwig) and a son (John Carlo Zenone of West Hollywood, CA), 10 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers and an infant granddaughter Serenity Hillwig.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the funeral home.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
