Carol Nortum

Carol Nortum, 83, formerly of Wilcox, died early Friday afternoon, January 15, 2021, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.

Born January 18, 1937, in Kane, she was the daughter of Jesse and Charlotte Lemmon Clyde.

Carol had been employed as a cook at the former Andrew Kaul Hospital in St. Mary’s and the Johnsonburg Elementary School. She belonged to both the Wilcox American Legion and the Wilcox Sportmen’s Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Jean Ann Mohney and Deb (Woody) Shaffer, both of Wilcox; a son, Ron (Deb) Nortum of Tarentum; sisters, Becky Price of Johnsonburg, Judy Wilson of Mansfield, Ohio, Helen Whiteman and Diana Wahlberg, both of Kane, and Patty Irwin in Arizona; and two brothers, David Clyde and Ken Clyde, both of Kane. Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

The family will have a private visitation on Tuesday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
