Carolina Martinelli Rossetti

Carolina RossettiCarolina Martinelli Rossetti, 100, of Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, in Jefferson Hills, Pa.

Born April 12, 1916, in Lettopalena (Abruzzo Region) Italy, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Maria D. Palmieri Martinelli.

She was the wife of the late Crescenzo Rossetti, who died in 1996.

She attended St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Township.

She is survived by her daughters, Lucia Martin of Houston, Texas, Philomena Ryan of Elizabeth Township and Maria Rossetti of Elizabeth Township, sons Dominic Rossetti (Cheryl) of Greensburg and Mario (Susan) Rossetti of Elizabeth Township and daughter-in-law Susan (Kort Woodhead) Rossetti of Peters Township.Grandma Lucy and Charlie

She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Vincent (April Blodgett) Ryan of Boston, Mass., Carleen (Ron) Fontana of Elizabeth Township, Sarah (Jason) Pastor of Monroeville, Christopher (Shenessa) Rossetti, the Sports Editor of EYT Media, of Shippenville, Todd (Karen Rossetti) of Houston, Texas, Jill Rossetti of Elizabeth Township and Laura (John) Cosharek of Pittsburgh.

In addition, Mrs. Rossetti had eight great-grandchildren who survive her, Anthony and Madeline Fontana, Ethan, Tristen and Mia Pastor, Gabriella and Rafael Cosharek and Olivia Rossetti as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Guy Rossetti, and son-in-laws Charlie Martin and Richard Ryan.

Friends are welcome Sunday, Feb. 18, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc, 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412)751-5000, Drew J. Gilbert, Director.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Parish.

Internment will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
