Carrie Ann Mitchell, 40, passed away at her home on Friday, October 28, 2016.
Carrie Ann was born on June 8, 1976, the daughter of the late Samuel Glenn Mitchell and Lori Ann (Schepis) Lorenzo. Carrie Ann’s mother, Lori Ann, and her step-father Fred Lorenzo survive her.
Carrie Ann was a free-spirit and enjoyed driving around just for fun and being outdoors, especially taking long walks basking in the fresh air and sunshine. She also enjoyed watching football and basketball, and playing with her two cats, “Dido” and “Runtsky”.
Carrie Ann is survived by her mother, Lori Ann (Schepis) Lorenzo and her step-father Fred Lorenzo; one brother, Matthew Lorenzo and his fiancée Melissa Reed of Clymer; her aunt, Karen Keith of Punxsutawney; two uncles, Mike Schepis and his wife Diane of Reynoldsville, and Jim Schepis and his wife Ronette of Punxsutawney. Carrie Ann’s surviving nieces and nephews are: Elena Jane Lorenzo, Evan Thomas Lorenzo, and Carter Runk.
Carrie Ann was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Glenn Mitchell.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, funeral arrangements are private and under supervision of the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Punxsutawney.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ms. Mitchell’s honor may be made to the Gateway Humane Society.
