Cars Collide on Icy Hill in Huston Township

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225HUSTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in Huston Township, Clearfield County.

Police say the crash occurred at 5:16 p.m. January 21 when 24-year-old Joseph Winkler, of Reynoldsville, was travelling east down a steep hill in a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

At the same time, 54-year-old Kim Carcella, of DuBois, was travelling west uphill on the same road in a 2014 Honda CRV.

Winkler began sliding straight through the curve, causing Carcella to veer right.

The Winkler’s vehicle impacted Carcella’s vehicle in the left-front.

The vehicles both came to rest in the shoulder of the roadway.

The drivers were both wearing seat-belts and were not injured in the crash.
